The Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP) is a joint development between the Singapore and China Government. Established in 1994, SIP has since achieved recognition for its outstanding quality facilities and service. The average investment per project in SIP is US$35 million, which is the highest figure in China.

China-Singapore Suzhou Industrial Park Development Co, Ltd. (CSSD) is the main developer of SIP. Its main responsibilities include land development and management, property management, project management, consulting services, development of industries and infrastructure, and investment of enterprises in SIP, etc. CSSD is a Sino-Singapore joint venture that undertakes the overall development of the entire Township. It is now a 35-65 joint venture between a Singapore consortium, Singapore-Suzhou Township Development (SSTD) and its Chinese counterpart, Suzhou Industrial Park Investment Co, Ltd (SIPC).

SIP has the infrastructure of international standard, efficient logistics network, strong government support, abundant and quality human resource and ideal working environment. The park is fully equipped with gas supply, power generators, post and telecommunication services, water supply, sewage treatment, electricity supply, well designed road network, drainage pipes and land leveling

Besides being an industrial park, SIP is a self-sufficient town that caters to residential and educational needs. SIP has a highly efficient logistic channel and independent customs. It can independently approve foreign investment projects and issue business license thus providing a convenient and fast channel to the investors.
