CSSD Profiles

China-Singapore Suzhou Industrial Park Development Co., Ltd. (CSSD) was jointly developed by the governments of China and Singapore in August 1994. With Sino-Singapore cooperation, CSSD has made great contribution to the development of Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP).
Taking the ‘building of China Dream and construction of new urban’ as its own responsibility, CSSD has set up the developing pattern of ‘one body with two wings’, namely, the main body of new urbanization construction, and the two wings of real estate development and municipal public utilities, so as to realize the linkage of various business sectors and the aggregation of resources. Currently, CSSD owns more than 40 subsidiaries, such as China-Singapore Suzhou Industrial Park Land Co., Ltd., China-Singapore Suzhou Industrial Park Public Utilities Development Group Co., Ltd., China-Singapore Industrial Park International Education Service Co., Ltd., China-Singapore Su-Tong Science &Technology Park (Nantong) Development Co., Ltd., China-Singapore Su-Chu (Chuzhou) Development Co., Ltd., with about 2600 employees in the group and RMB20 billion of gross assets.
CSSD continuously exported the successful experience of SIP to other regions, and successively carried out the projects of new urban development in Suqian and Nantong, Jiangsu Province, Chuzhou in Anhui Province, Haiyu Town in Changshu, Jiangsu Province and Leyu Town and Fenghuang Town in Zhangjiagang, Jiangsu Province. China-Singapore Suzhou Industrial Park Land Development Co., Ltd., one of CSSD’s subsidiaries, is specializing in the development of real estate, and actively promoting the construction of urban functions by the development of various residential, industrial and commercial properties. China-Singapore Suzhou Industrial Park Public Utilities Development Group Co., Ltd., another subsidiary of CSSD, is dedicated to the operation of public utilities such as the water, gas, thermoelectricity and environmental technologies, etc. In addition, aiming at the ‘green public utilities’, the company is making effort on the development of new project of environment protection.
CSSD will accelerate the integration of the key elements of new urbanization construction, to build strategic cooperation platform and strive to be the leading corporate of new urbanization construction in China.

History
On February 26, 1994, The Agreement on Co-Development and Construction of Suzhou Industrial Park by the Government of the People’s Republic of China and the Government of the Republic of Singapore was executed by the Government of the PRC and the Singapore Government in Beijing to establish the China-Singapore Joint Steering Council. On that same day, the Suzhou Municipal Government entered into the General Business Agreement of Suzhou Industrial Park with the representatives of Singapore consortiums. These documents signed by China and Singapore have constituted the basis for the organization of our Group.


As a result, China-Singapore Suzhou Industrial Park Development Co., Ltd., a joint venture, was established with the approval of both the former MOFTEC (now MOFCOM) on August 12, 1994 and the State Administration for Industry and Commerce on the following day, August 13.
On June 29, 2008, the inaugural meeting of China-Singapore Suzhou Industrial Park Development Co., Ltd. was held and on June 30, 2008, our Corporation was formally established as a key step in our IPO process.

On June 24, 2009 our corporation was renamed as the China-Singapore Suzhou Industrial Park Development Group Co., Ltd. (“CSSD”).
